
Step 1
Students turn to the target lesson and race to find and colour the 5
<Magical English>notes
hidden throughout the vocabulary and lyrics pages.
Step 2
Teacher introduces target vocabulary.
A. teacher says the English, students say the Japanese.
B. Teacher says the English, students repeat in English.
Step 3
Teacher introduces song and actions. (Only the teacher with no music.)
Step 4
Students stand up and follow along with the teacher.(Actions only, no music.)
Repeat if necessary.
Step 5
Teacher and students dance along with the song.
Repeat if necessary.
Step 6
Divide the class into 4 groups.
The group which can remember the actions and tries to sing along with the
song, can sit down and is rewarded with 1st sticker.
As this group of students receive their stickers, sing the song one more time.
Step 7
Remind the students that the next activity is quiz time.
Review target vocabulary as in Step 2.
Step 8
Students do 'rock, scissors, paper' in pairs.
The winner takes the other students book and records their score by
colouring the circle next to the word if they get it correct, and leave it
blank if they can't answer correctly.
Step 9
Teacher reads the English, students who lost 'Rock, scissors, paper'
tell their partner the meaning in Japanese.
Any students who get a perfect score get 2nd sticker.
Extra Step
Students form groups of 4~5 students, students take it in turns to do the
gestures the teacher says from the song.
The fastest teams get a point. Record the points on the board.
